Usually, with our weekly Android round-up of some of the newest and most interesting apps and games, we try to maintain a balance between these two categories. But this time it seems that we have a great deal of some really cool new Android games. But, I guess you won’t be too upset about this. Also check out the list from the previous week, in case you missed it. But for now, let’s have a look at these new Android games and apps that we have prepared for you.
Uber Partner (Free)
Chances are that by now you’ve heard about Uber, one of the most pouplar ridesharing services. The company uses a smartphone application to arrange rides between riders and drivers and now you can become an Uber driver by using the Uber Partner app on your Android device. You just need to switch on the UberPartner app whenever you want to start picking up riders. You will also be able to ,ove your riders quickly and efficiently with automatic GPS directions from the app. If you’re an Uber driver, use the app to get paid every week from your fares, directly deposited to your bank account.
Far Cry 4 Arena Master (Free)
Far Cry 4 Arena Master is the official Far Cry 4 app, so if you have installed the game, you need to get the app, as well. By using it, you will be able to collect animals and mercenary fighters for your own personal arena pen and it will be possible to send them to battle against other Far Cry 4 players. The app is linked directly to your Far Cry 4 game, which allows you to share your arena progress and send custom Far Cry 4 arena challenges to your friends. You will also be able to unlock new fighters and take place in many arena challenge.s
Sleep Better with Runtastic (Free)
More and more users are becoming concerned about their health and they’re relying on technology to help with that. The new Sleep Better with Runtastic follows that trend, allowing users to perform a great deal of things, such as the following – track your sleep duration, cycles and efficiency, develop a better understanding of your light sleep, deep sleep and time spent awake in bed, use the Smart Alarm to wake up at the ideal time, monitor moon phases, note your moods as part of your daily stats upon each wake up and even view sleep history. There are plenty similar apps, but if you’re a Runtastic fan, you’ll be particularly drawn into it.
The Blocks Cometh ($0.99)
The Blocks Cometh is a nicely designed endless vertical climber game by Noodlecake Studios where users get to run, jump, and shoot and climb to their highest scores. Featuring guest characters like Mr.Destructoid, Jim Sterling and The Agent from League of Evil. Plus, this is a game about dodging and climbing an endless series of falling blocks. It will also please your ears with an amazing original soundtrack by indie music sensations Hyperduck Soundworks. The game is also enjoying a time limited 50% discount.
Sometimes, if not most of the time, organizing activities inside a family is not an easy thing to do. And if you’re the kind of person who likes modern approaches, you need to give it a try to the ‘OurHome – Chores and Rewards‘ app for Android. Users can create, assign and schedule tasks for family members and also view family members’ personal progress. This little tool thinks it can help you motivate children with rewards and goals. Every member of the family can use it to easily share what needs to be bought in the smart shopping list. You can even ;ike and comment on an activity or send your family a private message.
The Hunger Games: Panem Rising (Free)
With the new The Hunger Games movie sequel out in theaters, naturally, a new Android game has been made available, as well. You play as a resistance leader who has been tasked with forming an advanced rebel team to aid Katniss Everdeen and take back Panem. Inside the game you will enlist your favorite characters to join your squad and liberate the districts from President Snow. Gamers will be able to explore each district in Panem, recruit rebels, collect resources and train your rebels to upgrade your team’s skills or equip your squad with specific tools.
Valiant Hearts: The Great War ($5.99)
Ubisoft’s new Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a unique mix between an interactive graphic novel that combines action, puzzles and adventure. Described as an ’emotional adventure game delivered with a unique tone and art style’. The game might be perceived by many as a little expensive, but there is a lot of creative art involved in it, as you can see for yourself. Valiant Hearts: The Great War is an episodic game inspired by letters from World War 1 which has four parts. While the initial app purchase includes Episode 1. Episodes 2-4 are available as multipack or individual in-app purchases.
I always envied my brother for having great drawing skills and I always wanted to be able to have the same talent. If you are passionate about drawing and animations, you need to try out RoughAnimator, a fully featured hand drawn animation program for Android. The Shadow Sun ($3.99)
If you are searching for a great new RPG game for Android, have a look at Ossian Studios’ new The Shadow Sun title. Described as the ‘ultimate eestern action RPG’, it invites Android users to embark on an epic dark fantasy in the ‘grand tradition of great, story-driven RPGs from PC and console’. The game has been created by veterans of the Neverwinter Nights, Baldur’s Gate, and The Witcher franchises, so perhaps that’s why it has been enjoying such great ratings so far. So give it a try, if you’re a fan of this game genre.
Notebook Wars Saga ($0.99)
Notebook Wars Saga is a new Android game that gives you the impression that it has been drawn on a sheet taken out of a notebook, hence the name. Described as a ‘notebook scrolling war game’, it turns one kid’s notebook into a battlefield. The game features great looking hand drawn graphics, addictive game play, and awesome effects. It comes with 15 huge game levels to play,
7 different war planes to choose and 22 awesome weapons to upgrade.
