XOLO has announced two new products under the Omega series that will appeal to budget buyers. Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 are the new smartphones that are now available to the Indian consumers at Rs.8,999 and Rs.9,999 respectively. The new Omega series smartphones feature curved back panels and rounded edges, as well as metallic rims on the sides. Let’s have a look at the specs of the both devices.

  • Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPRS/ EDGE, and 3G.

So, as we can see, for a slightly bigger price, you get a wider screen, a much better camera and a bigger battery capacity, as well. Users who will buy these devices will also be able to make use of special Vodafone offers – the Omega 5.0 will get free 500MB of free data and unlimited music content on Vodafone Music for two months while the Omega 5.5 will get 1GB of free data and unlimited music content for two months.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has been confirmed for Omega 5.0 and Omega 5.5 users, but an exact time frame hasn’t been announced as of now. The new Omega series smartphones will be available in top 10 cities in India, with the Omega 5.0 to be available on December 10 while the Omega 5.5 will be up for grabs starting December 20.
