Motorola India has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to all Moto G handsets in India. This includes both the first gen (2013) and second gen (2014) Moto G devices. Motorola has said that the update would be rolled out in phases, so it is possible that you may not see the software update immediately. But it is expected to be available on all phones within a day or two.
In case you have the older Moto G (2013), ensure that you have the updated app which controls OTA (over the air) updates. In case you don’t have the app, you can download it from the Play Store before checking for the Lollipop OTA update.
Moto G is one of the most popular mid-range smartphones in the country. Motorola is directly pushing the Android 5.0.2 to both the phones. Being an OTA update, you should find the notification once it reaches your phone, but if you are impatient, you can also manually look for the update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software update.
