Lenovo launched the Vibe Z2 Pro last year back in June, and subsequently released it for Indian customers in the month of September. And as our own review showed it, the device was a pretty capable one, and as my colleague Nimish put it, it offers ‘stunning value for relatively little money‘.
And now it seems that Lenovo is ready to bank in on that success and make use of the buzz surrounding the Mobile World Congress to launch the next-generation Lenovo Vibe Z3 Pro. A leak on Chinese social media site Weibo, picked up by Gizmo China, show reportedly leaked images of the Vibe Z3 Pro.
The Vibe Z3 Pro is said to feature a smaller 5.5-inch display and according to the pictures, there will be a solid metal frame around the edges of the handset. The backplate features a metallic strip and there’s a micro USB port along with speaker grilles section.
The display is said to have a 2K resolution and the whole toy should be powered by the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Android 5.0 Lollipop should be included out-of-the-box, which is yummy yummy. The alleged Vibe Z3 Pro is expected to sport a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilisation and laser autofocus technology. A massive 3,400 mAh battery is going to support this baby.
These are pretty much all the details we have at the moment at our disposal, but we will be attending this year’s edition of the Mobile World Congress, just like we did last year, so that’s when we’ll know for sure what’s real and what’s just vaporware about this product.
