There are countless Kickstarter projects out there, and while there are some dedicated websites to keep track of them, there isn’t really a singe place to find more of them available for purchase. Amazon has understood this need and has created a new section on its online store, called ‘Exclusives Store‘.
The new store is currently available for US customers only and it features products from ‘up-and-coming brands’, including some from inventors on the entrepreneur TV show Shark Tank. At the moment, you will be able to find products which include electronics accessories, toys, sporting goods, shoes and much more.
In the featured area of the section you can now find power banks from Jackery, turn-signaling cycling gloves by Zackees, iPhone camera attachments by Olloclip and paddle boards by Tower. At the moment the number of gadgets you can get isn’t that big, but this will most likely increase in the future. Peter Faricy, VP of Amazon Marketplace, said the following:
Our mission on behalf of customers is to make Amazon the destination for brands and innovators to launch and sell their products, providing our customers early access to new products. We understand that helping brands gain exposure for their award-winning new products is beneficial to customers that desire to be the first to have the hot new item.
However, despite the name, the products can still be sold through a brand’s website or physical stores. But all products feature in the store will be shipped by Amazon and are eligible for Prime shipping. So next time you want to make a unique gift to a techy friend, don’t look just at ThinkGeek and try Amazon’s new store, as well.
