It’s time to look back and come up with some of the best new Android applications and games that have been recently released on the Google Play Store. This time, we’ve got plenty of games, and I am sure you will enjoy all of them. If you missed the roundup from the previous week, do give it a glimpse, as you will find there such titles as the latest Angry Birds game, some apps to increase your battery life and much more. But let’s now have a look at what’s on for this edition.

X-Men: Days of Future Past ($4.99)

I’ve always enjoyed the movies and cartoons from the X-Men series and the last of them, X-Men: Days of Future Past, was just as entertaining. And if you want to relive the intense action from the X-Men universe, you can now download this really cool game. Described as a fast-paced, side-scrolling action game, you will be able to choose from your favorite mutants, each with unique powers and abilities. Along the game, you will be able to Bbattle against iconic X-Men villains such as Magneto, Nimrod, Master Mold and more.

Star Walk 2 ($2.99)

If you enjoy stargazing and watching at the sun or the night sky as much as I do, then you are probably going to be interested in this app. Star Walk 2 is the sequel to the original Star Walk which has been used by over 10 million people. The new app is one of the best stargazing tool which combines astronomical data with mobile technology, allowing you to point your device at the sky and know more about it. Tinkerplay (Free)

Autodesk has been releasing quite a lot of new Android apps on the Google Play Store recently, and now we’re talking about the newest entry – Tinkerplay. By using the app, you can easily design and 3D print whatever you can imagine by using the built-in part library. You just need to drag parts together and they snap in place. Thus, when your design is complete, you can then 3D print all of the parts to make your creation real. So, if you’re into 3D printing, you definitely need to check this app out, as well.

Swipes is a new ‘to do & task manager‘ for Android devices which comes with some really useful features. You can use it to plan your day on a timeline, snooze tasks for later, schedule things, check a history of your accomplishments, set priorities and much more. As you can see in the above video, its clean user interface is another strong point. The app also comes with notifications and you can change its theme to be either Dark or Light theme.  Your data is backed-up to the cloud and the app also features integration with Evernote

Connect (Free)

Connect lands on Android to let you put all your connections on the map. The app brings together your social networks, email and phone contacts into a single ‘location-powered communication tool’. It gathers all the people you know from Facebook, Instagram, Foursquare, iPhone, Gmail, LinkedIn and Twitter, so that you know where everybody is. You can then chat, call, and email directly through the app. It’s also possible to create groups to chat and share real-time location, check in and search your whole network by school, workplace, relationship status and more.

Atari Fit (Free)

Atari is better known for its video game consoles, but with the rise of the mobile industry, the Japanese company is trying to not be left behind. That’s why it is releasing Atari Fit, its first non-gaming related app on the Play Store. You might think of it as ‘just another mobile fitness app’, but what makes it stand out is the fact that it motivates players to work out individually or in collaboration with friends. In return, they earn points to play fun Atari games and unlock additional features of the app.
