The booming mobile Indian market is one of the most appealing targets for Chinese OEMs and just today we’ve reported about a new one joining the race. Everybody seems to be aiming for the low-end segment of the market, which seems to be the fastest rising one. And Huawei believes it can cut itself a piece of this gigantic pie with help from its Honor brand.

Huawe has announced today two new smartphones – the Honor 4C and Honor Bee, as well as the AP007 Power Bank. To remind you, Huawei’s products under the Honor brand are being sold exclusively through e-retail channels, so don’t expect these to pop out at a retail store nearby. The Honor 4C seems to be the best smartphone out of these two, being price at Rs.8,999. Let’s see what does it come with:

  • 5-inch HD IPS Display with a 1280×720 resolution
  • 13 megapixel rear camera with Smart Image 2.5 technology, 5 megapixel front camera
  • 2GB RAM and a Hi-Silicon octa-core processor
  • 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and dual-SIM
  • 2550 mAh battery
  • Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Emotion UI 3.0 honor-bee

The Honor Bee is priced at just Rs.4,999, so, naturally, it comes with poorer specs:

  • 4.5 inch with FWVGA resolution
  • 8 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash and 2 megapixel front camera
  • 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable with a microSD card slot
  • SpreadTrum quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with a Mali 400 GPU
  • Android 4.4 (Kitkat) with Emotion UI 3.0
  • 1730mAh battery with power saving technology

Allen Wang, President of Consumer Business Group and Huawei & Honor India, said the following:

We are very excited to launch our two new powerful smartphones 4C and Bee along with a Power Bank AP700 in India. This is the global launch for Honor Bee and we are confident that it will be a strong performer in the lower mid-level segment.

The power bank comes with a pretty big 13,000mAh battery capacity and you will have to pay Rs.1,399 to get it. All the new products will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting from today.
