Making a good phone, promoting it and getting good sales are the most important tasks any phonemaker is facing, but sometimes the difference can also be made in after-sales services, as well. The highly lucrative Indian mobile market is a very attractive target for phone companies, and we’re seeing new devices being announced every week.
To try and set itself apart from the competition, Lenovo-owned Motorola is now introducing a new service to Indian users called Moto Xpress. This allows Motorola customers in India to get a Motorola representative at their doorstep in case they have some problems with their handset.
At the moment the service is only available in Delhi, Gurgaon, and NOIDA in India for a price of Rs. 199 ($3) per intervention. In order to make use of this new service, you just need to call the Moto Xpress Service Booking number 011-41717124 and register the complaint, and then wait for a Motorola employee to be dispatched to your address. If your problem is software or accessory related, Motorola says it will be fixed on the spot will hardware issues will be sorted out in up to 5 working days. The company said the following:
In India, our customer satisfaction score is over 85 percent and with our latest initiative we aim to continue enhancing our after sale services. Our other customer care initiatives will continue to operate as is.
Motorola already has around 160 service centers throughout the country and it also had opened the first ‘Moto Care’ flagship center in India earlier this year. India is a very important market for Motorola, especially as the company has chosen to unveil the 3rd generation Moto G here.
