Micromax has extended its Canvas Selfie lineup with two new entrants, the Canvas Selfie 2 and Canvas Selfie 3. As with most of the Micromax phones, the Canvas Selfie 2 is affordable at Rs 5,999 and it comes with a decent spec sheet.

The Canvas Selfie 2 comes with 5-megapixel OV sensors on both the sides along with 4P lens. The camera app comes with the usual face detection, HDR mode and a Face beauty mode. The display shapes up in the form of a 5-inch FWVGA (854×480) pixel display and is powered by a 1.3GHz processor tagged along a 1GB of RAM.

Micromax Canvas Selfie 2 features 8GB of onboard storage which can be expanded further, thanks to the microSD slot. The phone will be backed up by a 2000mAh battery pack and will feature the usual bunch of connectivity options except 4G LTE capability. The Canvas Selfie 2 will run on Android Lollipop 5.0 and will be available in both the online and offline stores across the country starting August 22.

Moving on, The Canvas Selfie 3 comes with a better 8-Megapixel sensor rear camera with 5P Largen lens and a 8-Megapixel secondary camera accompanied with a Sony MX179 sensor and a LED flash. The LED flash on the front is something we can see on the phones beyond the Canvas Selfie price bracket and this can turn out to be a shout out feature for Micromax. Another deal maker is the inclusive Bluetooth Selfie stick that will help users take group selfies also referred to as Wefie.

Micromax has equipped the Canvas Selfie 3 with a 4.8-inch HD Amoled display and is powered by the same duo of 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM that powers the Canvas Selfie 2. The Canvas Selfie 3 comes with a 8GB of internal memory and it has a slightly bumped up 2300mAh battery. If you love colors then you are in luck, as the Canvas Selfie 2 comes in bold colors like Blue, Green, Purple, Sky Blue and Yellow.

It is but evident that we can get more powerful phones in the similar price bracket but the fact that both the phones offer some good selfie centric features help them to score brownie points. The Canvas Selfie 2 is one of the best option for people looking to buy a selfie phone in the sub-Rs 6,000 price range. On the other hand, The Canvas Selfie 3 suits people looking out for a superior selfie phone and are ready to stretch the budget for the extra features.
