Acer has launched the Liquid Jade Primo, a premium device running Windows 10 Mobile which was teased earlier at the IFA last year. Acer has divulged all the details of the phone along with the availability and pricing details ahead of the CES 2016.


The phone comes with a 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood lies a Hexa core Snapdragon 808 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM. On the imaging front, the Acer Jade Primo is impressive on paper with a 21-Megapixel primary sensor with dual LED flash and an 8-Megapixel front facing camera. The secondary camera however is equipped with a 84-degree wide angled lens which will help more people fit into the selfies and capture the photos with a wider perspective.

Another mention worthy highlight of the phone is the advanced cooling system which is expected to ward off the heat in a better way as compared to the conventional system. The cooling system is also expected to reduce the surface temperature thus helping you avoid the typical heating that usually occurs while using the phone.

Since it runs the Windows 10 Mobile, it is naturally compatible with the display dock and would blend better with the Microsoft ecosystem. The Acer Jade Primo is backed up with a 3000mAh battery and will support Lumia Rich Recording in tandem with its four microphones. The Jade Primo offers the usual set of connectivity features including 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack.

This phone can be a great choice for folks who want to buy a premium Windows 10 phone without paying the premium that Lumia 950 XL commands. That being said, the Lumia 950 XL is currently being laced with discounts from the carriers and the basic price for the unlocked device has also been slashed. The Acer Liquid Jade Primo will start selling at $617 which approximately equals to Rs 41,140 and will initially be available in Europe, Middle East and Africa and will be subsequently rolled out for other regions.
