Swipe, the local Indian OEM has launched the Konnect 5.1 in Sandstone Black limited edition priced at Rs 3,999. Swipe is a brand that’s known for its range of tablets and the recent Konnect series affordable smartphones. The Konnect 5.1 limited Edition will be available exclusively on Snapdeal in a Sandstone Black finish.

The Konnect 5.1 comes equipped with a 5-inch display and draws its power from a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and paired with a 1GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 8GB of internal storage along with an expandable memory card slot that can further accommodate up to 32GB. The Sandstone finish seemingly renders a premium finish to the phone and contrasts the rather bland design lines.

The device sports an 8-Megapixel primary sensor and a 3.2-Megapixel secondary sensor. Camera app on the phone comes with the usual collection of features like Face Beautify, face detection, HDR, Panorama and QR code scanner. The Konnect 5.1 runs on Android Lollipop 5.1 and is backed by a 3000mAh battery which is rated to offer 15 hours of talk time and 200 hours of standby time.

Konnect 5.1 comes endowed with the usual bunch of connectivity features including 3G, dual-SIM and GPS but however being an entry level affordable phone in the sub Rs 5000 segment it misses out on 4G LTE support.

The bottom line is that the Konnect 5.1 emerges as one of the best equipped smartphone within the Rs 4,000 price range as most of its competition including the InFocus M260 and the Phicomm Energy M Plus lack grunt when it comes to specifications.
