Intex has expanded its affordable 4G device line up with Aqua Ace II, priced at Rs 8,999. The phone is aimed at offering a better experience for smartphone users as opposed to its entry level budget smartphone line-up.

Intex Aqua Ace II comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek SoC clocked at 1.3GHz and paired with 3GB of RAM. Lately design seems to have been the forefront for most of the budget smartphone manufacturers and Aqua Ace II is no different. The bezel is not too chunky and the glossy metallic frame looks premium to say the least.

On the imaging front, the ACE II comes with a 8-Megapixel front sensor and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor. The device offers 16GB of Internal storage along with a microSD card slot that can further accommodate up to 32GB. Ace II is backed up by a 3000mAh battery and runs on Android Lollipop 5.1. Connectivity features include VoLTE, dual SIM 4G LTE support and a MHL cable which mirrors the smartphones screen to any LED TV screen, much like a Chromecast.

Apart from the previously mentioned features, it also comes baked with the usual bunch of Intex applications which will now also include Reverie Lock, an app that will allow you to unlock the device in regional language. The Intex Aqua Ace II will be made available in only White colour and it will be retail via both offline and online sales channels. At this price point Intex Aqua Ace II rivals the likes of phones like the Coolpad Note 3 and the Yu Yureka Plus which boast of better hardware and features. On a related note, the Ace II would have weighed on its rivals heavily had it come with hardware like FHD display and a Fingerprint scanner.
