The budget Android segment is swarming with new entrants on a daily basis with each one of these coming with a cut throat price tag. Lenovo has added yet another competitive budget smartphone that comes with a decent set of specifications’. The Vibe K5 is probably one of the most affordable metal clad phone at Rs 6,999 and it promises to be a worthy upgrade to the Lenovo A6000.
Lenovo Vibe K5 features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by the 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 415 alongside a 2GB of RAM. On the storage front the device offers 16GB of inbuilt memory along with a microSD card slot that can further accommodate up to 32GB. The Lenovo Vibe K5 looks upmarket with the neatly chamfered edges and the metal body. Furthermore, Lenovo has kept up with its tradition of offering a better audio experience resulting in the Dolby Atmos enabled dual speakers on the Vibe K5.
The front camera shapes up in the form of a 13-Megapixel sensor and the secondary camera is a 5-Megapixel sensor. It is indeed overwhelming that Lenovo will also be offering the VR experience on Vibe K5 with the Theatermax technology and the AntVR headset (needs to be bought separately.) The phone is also pretty sleek at 8-mm and weighs in around 140gms.
Lenovo Vibe K5 will be sold on Amazon.in and the registrations has already begun. The first flash sale is scheduled on 22nd June 2PM and the K5 will be available in Gold, Silver and Grey color options. At Rs 6,999 the Lenovo Vibe K5 is expected to sell like a hot cake, especially after we take into considerations the decent specifications and the metal body. The Vibe K5 will rival the likes of Redmi 2 Prime and the Coolpad Note 3 Lite.
