Hyve Mobility, a new Indian brand led by Sharad Mehrotra (Previously at Apple) has entered the market by launching two new Android smartphones today, Hyve Buzz and Hyve Storm, names of which do sound quite ludicrous. Both of the handsets will be embarking company’s journey into this competitive field and are priced accordingly, Rs 13,999 and Rs 8,499 respectively.

In terms of specifications, the mightier Hyve Buzz flaunts a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass panel on the front and is powered by 64-bit (unnamed) MediaTek Octa-Core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 3GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage with a complimentary 32GB MicroSD card included. There’s also a rear fingerprint scanner that is capable of executing some quick actions based on defined gestures and swipes. Software wise, it packs stock Android 5.1 Operating system with no bloatware whatsoever and Hyve promises a Marshmallow update in the near future. Hyve Buzz sports a 13MP rear Sony Exmor RS sensor with a Dual-tone LED flash and 5MP shooter up front. Underneath, it runs on a rather small 2500mAh battery, situates a hexagonal LED notification light on the back and features a USB Type-C port on the bottom. Moreover, the phone is water-resistant with an IPX4 rating, supports 4G-Enabled and VoLTE supported Dual SIM slots, NFC and comes in three color variants – Twilight Black, Midnight Blue, and Sunset Wine.

The Hyve Storm comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display, a MediaTek Quad-Core processor (unnamed again) clocked at 1.3GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage that is expandable up to 64GB. Hyve Mobility will be definitely turning some heads with the Buzz smartphone and a commitment to offer considerably better after sales service. Although the specifications do seem a little unstimulating, that being said, stock Android, VoLTE support and waterproof coating could act as a catalyst. Both the handsets will up for grabs through leading e-commerce platforms including Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal, sales will commence from June 22nd. Additionally, Hyve will be offering  1-year insurance, Pick up and drop service from anywhere in India and Inbuilt Hyve Care app for easy access and booking, all for free.
