Meizu’s next flagship is just around the corner and the company has also revealed the official launch date for the same today. The Meizu MX6 will be announced on July 19 at the National Convention Centre in Beijing, China.
The good part is that the Mx6 has already been spotted on AnTuTu and a major chunk of its specifications has been listed alongside. The Meizu MX6 will be powered by MediaTek Helio X20 processor coupled with a 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch FHD display unit. On the storage front, Meizu MX6 is expected to offer 32GB of internal storage and it is safe to assume that we might see a 64GB variant as well. Meizu has also teased the launch with a Music Card player and this encourages us to believe that the company will usher in some new technology on the audio end.
Meizu MX6 will be fitted with a 12-Megapixel primary sensor and a 5-Megapixel front-facing camera unit. Out of the box, Meizu MX6 will run on Flyme OS which is based on Android Lollipop 5.1. However, Meizu’s lead ROM designer Yi Peng has assured that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update will seed soon enough once the device is launched. Apart from the aforementioned specifications, the MX6 will be backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support along with a fingerprint sensor.
Weirdly enough Meizu is also expected to update their last year’s flagship the MX5 with Helio X20 and spin it off as yet another variant. The rumor mills have also revealed that the MX6 will be priced at $275 (apprx. Rs 19,000) for the 32GB variant while the 64GB variant might be priced at $305 (apprx. Rs 21,000).
