Asus has now added two more devices dubbed the Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 Laser to their Zenfone 3 lineup. Unveiled at the Zenvolution 2016 in Vietnam, the smartphone duo is expected to hit international markets soon alongside the already launched Zenfone 3, Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the pack leading Zenfone 3 Ultra.

As expected, the main selling point of the Asus Zenfone 3 Max, like previous years, would be the large battery on the inside. It now comes with a slightly smaller 4100mAh battery as compared to the 5000mAh unit found in its predecessor. Despite the smaller cell under the hood, Asus claims that their Zenfone 3 Max is capable of delivering 20 hours of 3G talk time, 20 hours of 4G web browsing, hours of video playback and a whopping 30 days of standby battery life respectively. That aside, you can also use the Asus Zenfone 3 Max as your standby powerbank to charge other devices thanks to its reverse charging capabilities.

Upfront, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 5.2 inch HD display with a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. Powering the smartphone is a 1.3GHz quad core Mediatek MT6737 SoC and a Mali T720 GPU. Apart from that, the Zenfone 3 Max comes with a Fingerprint Sensor to the back, 3GB RAM and 32GB memory with room for further memory expansion via MicroSD card slot. Talking of cameras, the Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 13MP rear (with LED flash) and 5MP front camera duo.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser on the other hands touts a 13MP f/2.0 Sony IMX214 sensor rear camera which is further boosted by a 2nd gen Laser Autofocus sensor, dual tone LED flash and 3 axis EIS (Electronic Image Stabilisation). Asus claims a focusing time of around 0.03 seconds, thereby making it faster than its predecessor. The rest of the specifications include a 5.5 inch HD display, Snapdragon 430 octa core chip with Adreno 505 GPU, 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Just like its Max sibling, the Zenfone 3 Laser too comes with a memory expansion slot, Fingerprint sensor, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n. It’s also worth noting that both the smartphones run on Android Marshmallow 6.0 with the company’s Zen UI 2.0 on top.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max comes in three color options namely Titanium Grey, Glacier Silver, Sand Gold and will be available for a asking price of around $200/Rs 13,500 approx. in Vietnam. On the other hand the Zenfone 3 Laser will retail for $268/Rs 18,000 approx. and will come in a new Rose Gold color apart from Glacier Silver and Sand Gold.
