Xiaomi’s alleged notebook has been one of the main talking points ever since Inventec CEO confirmed its presence. Thereafter numerous leaks and rumors have cropped up surrounding the alleged Mi Notebook, but not many have conclusive evidence. Today, a new leak depicting the Mi Notebook in is full glory is doing rounds on the web.
Just in case you are wondering, this isn’t the first time we are coming across an image of the Mi Notebook. Sadly, most of those had been edited images of the Apple Macbook. Incidentally, this leak doesn’t appear eerily similar to the MacBook Pro or any other Apple laptop to be precise. That said, we aren’t yet in a situation to confirm the legitimacy of the leak.
The leaked images allegedly portray the side profile and the chiclet keyboard of a device which apparently appears to be Xiaomi’s debut notebook. The notebook sports a USB Type C port and standard USB 2.0 port to the side. Apart from that, it appears to sport a brushed metal design with an edge to edge glass panel covered display – similar to the Macbook Pro. For those unaware Xiaomi is reported to launch their Mi Notebook in China alongside their Redmi Note Pro in China on June 27.
Initial leaks from last year make us believe that that Xiaomi will launch two different variants of the Mi Notebook. Incidentally, the variants will be built by two different ODMs, Inventec and Compal electronics to be precise. That said, alleged official presentations regarding the specs of the Mi Notebook have been doing rounds on the web for some time now.
For those unaware, the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is reported to come with a 15.6 inch display and will be powered by an Intel Core i7-6700HQ chip and Nvidia GTX 970M 4GB DDR5 graphics. Apart from that the notebook is rumored to sport a 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512GB SSD and comes retail at price tag of 6699 Yuan (Rs 67,000/$1000 approx.) The lower specs variant with an Intel Core i5-6200U chip, 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256SSD storage will allegedly retail at 3999 Yuan (Rs 40,000/$600 approx.)
