Micromax has updated its laptop line-up with yet another budget offering the Micromax Neo PQC LPQ61407W. The Neo is priced at Rs 17,990 slightly lesser than the Micromax Ignite which more or less shares its innards with the Neo. The company has been churning in computing products that are extremely affordable and also equally portable.

The Micromax Neo comes equipped with a 14-inch HD display and is powered by quad-core Intel Pentium N3700 clocked up to 2.4GHz along with a 4GB of RAM. It’s worth noting that 4GB of RAM is pretty much a rarity in laptops priced below Rs 20k.  As expected Neo comes preloaded with Windows 10 thus saving the buyer from the hassles of upgrading to the same.

Backing the device is the 4800mAh battery pack that and on the storage front boasts of a 500GB HDD alongside the usual microSD card slot. Micromax Neo is fitted with a barebones 1-Megapixel HD webcam and has dual speakers for audio output. The connectivity features include WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, 1xUSB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, Micro HDMI port and a 1 X RJ45 Ethernet port. Micromax Neo is available in Black color and is currently exclusive to Amazon.in.

The affordable sleek laptops are slowly becoming the favourite of light users and students. The laptops are best suited for less graphic intensive tasks and the extended battery backup ends up as a much-needed bonus. Lately, many OEM’s including iBall are taking a keen interest in this segment.
