Yi is the drone company best known for its Xiaomi Yi, a drone that they created along with Xiaomi. Now Yi Technology is back with yet another drone called the Yi Erida. The Yi Erida is expected to be launched in September and the company claims that the drone is made out of carbon fibre and is designed to reach speeds up to 75mph.

Furthermore, the company claims that the Yi Erida can do flights up to 40 minutes on a single charge which is almost double the flight range of a usual 350-sized tricopter. This is what Sean Da, Co-Founder and CEO of YI Technology had to say about the drone “Our drone is the culmination of decades of expertise and experience in imaging and aeronautics with a focus on producing a drone that addresses the shortcomings of current market leaders, to exceed the industry standard”

The Drone will be fitted with the recently announced Yi 4K camera and will mostly come with a 2-axis gimble. The Yi Erida is expected to come with a laser sensor that would maintain the altitude of the flight irrespective of the terrain and furthermore one could also control the camera with the companion app and probably also lock an object. Erida also lets you enter the distance and height from you so that it follows you and keeps on capturing the footage, much like the other follow-me Drones.

With Erida one can also select the objects and set the shooting parameters so that the drone will automatically shoot a great video. More details about the Yi-Erida are expected to be revealed during the course of InterDrone conference this month.
