Soon after launching the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus at their event in San Francisco, Apple has come out with details regarding the country-specific launch of their brand new smartphones. As for India, the launch is scheduled on October 7 with prices starting at Rs 60,000.

Many were expecting the iPhone 7 to be launched in India in the second batch of countries (if not first) after all the talks about the importance of India. Globally, it’s launching on 16th September, so this is like four weeks after the global launch. But then, Apple has mostly launched the iPhone just days before the Diwali festive season in India. Coming to the pricing, iPhone 7 seems to have got a nominal Rs 2000 cut as against the iPhone 6s which was launched at Rs 62,000.

So far Apple has only revealed the pricing of the 32GB variant of the iPhone 7. Expect the Cupertino giant to come out with the price for the other variants of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus closer to the launch. It’s also worth noting that the 32GB variant of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus doesn’t come with a Jet Black variant, so in case you want to pick one up, you have no option but to choose from either of the two higher storage models. Oh yes, the Jet Black model will be available only via Apple Authorised resellers in India.

Just in case you are unaware, Apple’s latest iPhones not only comes with refreshed internals but also features a brand new design language. Departing from the bland aluminium unibody built, the all new iPhones now come with a metal chassis and a glass layer on top.

Alongside the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, Apple has come out with a number of accessories for its new devices. These include the new Wireless AirPods, Lightning Earpods, Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter priced at Rs 15,400, Rs 2,500 and Rs 900 respectively. It’s, however, worth noting that the Lightning Pods and its adapter will be bundled along with the iPhones in the box pack.

Apple will also Leather and Silicone Cases at a starting price of Rs 2,900. Apart from these, there is an iPhone 7 Smart Battery case which will be offered in two colour variants – black and white – for Rs 8,900. There would be Lightning Docks too in several metallic finishes at Rs 3,700.
