Micromax has been quite active in the affordable Android smartphone segment and today the company unveiled Canvas 5 Lite. Launched at Rs 6,499 the device doesn’t seem to look cheap from any yardsticks and in fact the leather finish on the back panel looks elegant alongside the metal frame. The Canvas 5 Lite will be exclusively available on Snapdeal starting from today.



The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and draws its power from a quad-core 1GHz MediaTek6735P processor clocked at 1GHz and paired with a 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 16GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot. The imaging setup consists of the 8-Megapixel primary sensor and a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor.


Micromax Canvas 5 Lite heralds with the usual set of connectivity features including 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS. The entry level market for Android smartphone is being swarmed by a number of manufacturers but Micromax has been able to retain its share of the market over the years. The company has always made it a point to secure a rank within the top three when it comes to top five vendors.
