Chinese smartphone OEM Vivo has updated its lineup with three new handsets in China, namely, the X9, X9 Plus and XPlay . The Vivo X9 64GB has been priced at CNY 2,798 (apprx.28,000) while the 128GB model is priced a tad higher at CNY 2,998 (approximately Rs 30,000.) That said Vivo is yet to announce the pricing for the Vivo X9 Plus whereas the Vivo Xplay6 has been priced at CNY 4,498 (apprx. Rs 44,500) and is up for preorders in China.

Both the Vivo X9 and the X9 Plus sport a dual front-facing camera. The primary camera shapes up in the form of a 20-Megapixel Sony IMX376 sensor offering f/2.0 aperture along with an 8-Megapixel sensor. The phones come equipped with a 16-Megapixel front camera with PDAF.

The Vivo X9 is fitted with a 5.5-inch FHD Super AMOLED display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 clocked at 2GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the Vivo X9 is offered in two variants, the 64GB, and the 128GB. The fingerprint sensor stays put in the front home button and the device supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Micro-USB. The device runs FuntouchOS 3.0 based on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes backed by a 3050mAh battery that supports fast charging.

As one might have guessed the Vivo X9 Plus comes with a larger 5.88-inch FHD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with a staggering 6GB of RAM. Unlike the Vivo X9, the X9 Plus will only be available in 128GB storage variant and will run FuntouchOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Vivo X9 Plus is backed by a larger 4000mAh battery pack and supports fast charging as well.

 

Moving on, the Vivo Xplay6 features a dual curved display and packs 5.46-inch QHD Super AMOLED display. Under the hood lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 coupled with 6GB of RAM. The device runs Funtouch 3.0 layered over Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will only be available in 128GB variant.

The talking point of the Vivo Xplay6 is the primary camera that comes with a 12-Megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash and  a 5-Megapixel secondary sensor. The front camera is made up of the 16-Megapixel sensor that comes with f/2.0 aperture. Vivo Xplay6 supports the usual bevy of connectivity options including 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and microUSB. Powering the device is a generous 4080mAh battery with fast charging.
