Motorola has unveiled Moto G5 Plus at an event in Delhi. The Moto G5 Plus is priced starting at Rs 14,999 for the 3GB RAM/16GB Storage variant while the 4GB RAM/32GB Storage variant is priced at Rs 16,999, both the variants are Flipkart Exclusive. The Moto G5 Plus had been originally launched along with the G5 at the MWC 2017. Motorola, along with Flipkart, has bundled a BuyBack Guarantee scheme which means that the customers will get a fixed price for their device if they decide to exchange it against any other smartphones. The new smartphone, however, needs to be priced higher than the Moto G5 Plus.
The Moto G5 Plus comes equipped with a 5.2-inch FHD display and is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 paired with 2/3/4GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device is being offered in both 32GB and 64GB variants. The Moto G5 Plus runs on Android Nougat out of the box and also includes the extras like Moto Display, Actions, twist gesture and a one hand mode. The Moto G5 Plus is backed by a 3000mAh battery and supports quick charging.
The Moto G5 Plus comes with a new Dual-Pixel technology which allows the 12MP rear lens to focus 60% quicker than the G4, and the f/1.7 aperture lets in 25% more light for better low light shots. Furthermore, the company claims that the dual-LED flash setup on the back is capable of producing relatively better skin tones, and colors. On the front, there’s not much changed, the G5 Plus rocks a 5MP wide-angle shooter. The camera app itself has received a slew of new upgrades including “Best Shot” that automatically selects the most accurate picture from a burst, “Professional Mode” for configuring settings such as shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and “Beautification Mode” for better (and more artificial) selfies.
The Moto G5 Plus runs on Android Nougat out of the box and can be updated to support Google Assistant. The front fingerprint sensor now offers a larger sensor area and supports gestures, moreover, you can also disable the Android’s onscreen buttons and use the fingerprint sensor instead for navigation.
Furthermore, the Moto G5 Plus will also come bundled with launch offers including extra 10% discount on SBI cards, no cost EMI and Moto Pulse 2 at Rs 599. The sale will go live at 11:59PM tonight and as we mentioned earlier it will be Flipkart exclusive.

It’s interesting that Lenovo has chosen not to launch the Moto G5 alongside the superior G5 Plus. That seems to be a strategic move for us and we expect the Moto G5 to launch in the near future.
