Amidst the gloom surrounding the company’s future in India, LeEco has finally launched the Super4 Series of Smart televisions in the country. Unlike previous instances where they used to have big launches, the company has chosen to quietly launch the new TV series. There are three models available under the Super4 EcoTV – the Super4 X40 (Full HD), Super4 X43 Pro (4K TV) and the Super4 X50 Pro (4K TV).
If you remember, LeEco had launched the 55-inch and 65-inch Super3 Series TVs last year and has instead opted for the smaller 40-inch, 43-inch and 50-inch models this time around. As before, the pricing is extremely attractive. The base Super4 X40 is priced at Rs 42,490, the Super4 X43 Pro is priced at Rs 57,490 and the biggest Super4 X50 Pro is priced at Rs 78,490. LeEco says that these are special launch offers with 10% cashback included.
All the three models have HDR10 technology and powered by the proprietary EUI software on top of Android 5.0 (yes, Android Lollipop). They have the Dolby DTS surround audio with the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.1, WiFI 802.11ac and USB 3.0 ports. There’s a 2-year warranty on all the three models.
The two higher-priced ‘Pro’ models have 4K Ultra HD panels. The Super4 X43 Pro is powered by a 1.7 GHz QuadCore MStar 6A938 CPU along with 3GB of RAM along with 16GB ROM. The Super4 X50 Pro supports 3D as well and is powered by the same MStar CPU along with 3GB RAM and 32GB of ROM. It’s also the only model to come with Harman Kardon speakers There are 2 HDMI ports and 2 USB 3.0 ports on both models.
The company has clarified despite cutting down a huge chunk of its workforce (which included its India head), LeEco is not going anywhere and will continue to release new products in India.
