They are perhaps two of the most talked of iPhones of recent times.
The problem is that there is not too much that one can say about them apart from their colors. For that notable aspect apart, they are pretty much like other iPhones.
We are talking of course of the special (PRODUCT) RED editions of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, which have just made their way to the Indian market. We got a chance to clap our eyes on the phones and handle them a bit but well, the challenge was: what on earth could we write on them that had not been written before? After all, these were the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus with red backs and sides – there were no hardware or software editions whatsoever. And while the phones did look different, they had already been photographed to the nth degree by dozens of people.
So as we took some snaps of the two phones, we pondered about what we could do to make them look different. And then we were struck by a quote from one of the people who made Apple what it is today:
“Technology alone is not enough.
It’s technology married with the liberal arts…”
Well, what could we do to make this slice of tech get married to some art? We simply decided to subject our product images to some Prisma treatment. The results are below. No, they are not exact recreations of the new red iPhones. But we think they capture the brilliance of the devices as well as (if not better than) a routine photo shoot would have.
And we have a sneaky feeling that the man who talked about technology being married to the liberal arts would have approved. Steve Jobs was anything but routine, after all.
