Leaked Sony Xperia X Ultra render has surfaced hinting at a ultrawide display and a screen ratio that seems to be in line with the recent flagships including Galaxy S8 and the LG G6. A quick glance at the render will reveal how Sony has decided to slim out the bezels and adopt to a different design philosophy as supposed to its current lineup.
The rumors speculate that the Xperia X Ultra will come equipped with a 6.45-inch screen which is a bit bigger than the 6.2-inch unit on the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. The Sony Xperia X Ultra is expected to come in red and gray color, though Sony might have other color options in tow as well. On the imaging front, Sony is likely to go for a 13-Megapixel front facing camera along with the 19-Megapixel secondary sensor. The device is speculated to be powered by the Snapdragon 660 coupled with 4GB of RAM.
The storage options on the Xperia X Ultra will include a 64GB internal storage but nothing is yet mentioned about the expandable storage. Xperia X Ultra is also likely to come baked with an IP68 rating for dust and water. Rumour mills further predict that the Xperia X Ultra will be powered by 2050mAh battery with QuickCharge 3.0. Also worth mentioning is that the device will boast of a dual speakers setup. At this juncture, the information regarding the Xperia X Ultra is still not comprehensive in nature.
However, it seems evident that Sony is pushing for a design overhaul and get done with the chunky bezels or the squarish form factor that we usually associate with the Xperia lineups. Considering that it’s priced rightly the Sony Xperia X Ultra might garner some positive response from the buyers. That being said the authenticity of the renders cannot be traced and its quite possible that the final product may end up looking different.
Update: Unfortunately, this turns out to be concept images. We promise to do a better job at doing proper checks next time around.
