Atari the company well known for its gaming consoles in the 80’s is back with yet another mind boggling product. At a time when all the companies are running after Artificial Intelligence, smart home products, and other connected devices, Atari begged to differ. The gaming company seems to have taken the phrase ’Put on your Thinking Hat’ a tad too seriously. Atari has now made a Bluetooth-connected hat with integrated speakers. Yes, Atari wants you to wear speakers on your head instead of on your ears.
Well, no prizes for guessing the name, Atari simply calls it the hat “Speakerhat” and the company apparently thinks that a hat like this might shape the future of wearables. The gaming company has partnered with Audioware and is currently hosting an event called “Blade Runner 2049” Yeah the reference to future is uncanny.
Moving on, the Speakerhat boasts of “high-fidelity stereo speakers and microphone that can connect instantly to any Bluetooth-enabled device.” Yes, so next time you want the music to be blasting at your face, you finally have a way to do so. That’s not all thanks to Atari’s “Social Synchronous Broadcast technology” the Speakerhat users will be able to play the same track.
That being said, the Speakerhat is yet to go on sale and if you are interested head over to this link and sign up for a chance to become a beta tester. It is quite obvious that a speaker hat is not something we need and it feels an overkill in every aspect. Lately, we have seen a pileup of smart products that are simply an overkill or absolute rubbish. In fact, we need to understand that with every smart device we add to our life comes to an understandable security risk that needs to be dealt with promptly.
