Acer has unveiled a range of ultra slim convertible Windows 10 notebooks at the ongoing IFA. The new models include an iterative upgrade to the current Swift, Spin and Switch models. All the devices will be powered by Intel’s latest 8th Generation processors and will support biometric solutions including Windows Hello. The company claims that the new devices have been crafted with style, mobility, and functionality in mind.
Acer Switch 7 Black Edition
The Switch 7 Black edition is a sleek looking ultrabook that is pretty light at just 1.15Kgs. The notebook is apparently one of the first 2-in-1 to come equipped with discrete graphics supported by Acer Dual LiquidLoop fanless cooling system. The Switch 7 Black Edition will come powered by a top of the line intel Core i7 processor paired with a NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. The brushed aluminum body features a kickstand that can be deployed and retracted with a single hand.
Switch 7 Black Edition sports a 13.5-inch IPS display set at a resolution of 2256 x 150. The notebook can be paired with a Wacom Stylus that offers 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity along with tilt control. The stylus supports Windows Ink and will be housed in the outer shell. Moving on, the Swift 7 Black Edition also sports an optical under glass fingerprint sensor that allows users to login instantly with a fingerprint scan.

Acer Swift 5
The Swift 5 scores high when it comes to portability, the notebook weighs in at just 1Kg making it a good choice for people on the go. The notebook touts a metal encasing blended with materials like magnesium-aluminum alloys and its variations. Acer claims that the Swift 5 will offer an 8-hour of battery life and sports a backlit keyboard. The narrow bezels are designed to enhance the viewing experience on the multi touch FHD IPS display. On the audio front, the Swift 5 comes equipped with Dolby Audio and Acer TrueHarmony.

Acer Spin 5
Spin 5 is intended to be a light weight ultra portable laptop that offers a versatile form factor. The Acer Spin 5 can be used in laptop mode, tablet mode, and tent mode, just like the Lenovo Yoga series. The Spin 5 is available in two variants, 13-inch and 15-inch. The smaller screened variant weighs at 1.5Kg while the larger 15-inch display one weighs in at 2kg.
Acer is offering a choice of up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a rated battery life of 13-hours. The graphics options for the Spin 5 include a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 optional graphics. Both the variants are compatible with an optional Acer Active Stylus which works in tandem with Windows Ink. Audio options on the Acer Spin 5 include Acer TrueHarmony, Dolby Audio Premium and the upfront front facing speakers.
