Google has added a powerful and smart Google Home speakers to its product portfolio. The Google Home Max is an audio-centric device that mostly focusses on offering basic Home features along with stereo speakers with emphasis on bass. Its pretty evident that the Google Home Max will compete with the other smart speakers in the market including the ones from Sonos and Apple HomePod.
The Google Home Max is made up of two 4.5-inch woofers paired with tweeters. The speaker system is shroud by a fabric speaker grille. Voice input on the Google Home Max is via the far-field microphones which will work even when you are listening to the music. The Home Max is touted to be 20 times more powerful than the Google Home when it comes to the sound output.
Being a smart speaker, the Google Home Max adapts to the surroundings and tunes itself for the same. This is something that is available for all your audio needs including music, podcasts or even a phone call. The Smart Sound works in tandem with the disturbances in the environment, if the room gets noisy, the Home Max will automatically increase the volume and other variables to sound the best in that particular situation.
That being said, look wise the Google Home is reminiscent of the old laptop speakers. Google has equipped the Home Max with touch controls and the backlit LEDs. Connectivity options include a 3.5mm jack, Bluetooth and Chromecast support. Google is throwing in a 12 month YouTube Music subscription, and the Google Home Max will retail for $399 across all the seven regions. The smart speaker will be available in December this year.
