Days after clearing TENAA, the ZTE Blade A3 has gone official in China. It is a budget smartphone that will be available for sale in the country starting November 6. The main highlight of the ZTE Blade A3 is its dual front camera setup.
The ZTE Blade A3 is part of the company’s A-series lineup that’s primarily targeted at the budget conscious youth. Therefore, it is designed keeping in mind the needs of the bang for the buck audience. It comes with a polycarbonate body, that has been coated with a metallic shine for a premium look. In fact, the horizontal antenna lines have been painted too. To the front of the ZTE Blade A3 lies a 5.5 inch HD display. As a measure of cost-cutting, ZTE hasn’t included any sort of the glass protection over the panel.
Underneath the hood, the budget smartphone is powered by a MediaTek 6737T octa-core processor. It is mated with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. Additionally, the ZTE Blade A3 comes with a triple SIM slot. This essentially means that you can use both SIMs along with a microSD card simultaneously. Apart from these, the Blade A3 sports a 13MP rear camera. Its mated with a dual LED flash. Moreover, the dual front camera setup is the main talking point of the ZTE Blade A3. The front camera setup comprises of a 5MP and 2MP sensors. It also packs a 4,000mAH battery.
The ZTE Blade A3 runs on Android Nougat 7.0 with the company’s own theme MiFavor on top. It is priced at 799 Yuan (Rs 7,800/$120). At that price, it the cheapest device to come with a dual front camera setup. The smartphone will be available in Glacier Blue and Obsidian Black color on ZTE’s official online store and JD.com.
