The MADV Mini Panoramic camera is the latest product to get listed on Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform. The camera is manufactured by Beijing Crazy King Technology Co. Ltd, which seems to have collaborated with Xiaomi for marketing its product. Apparently, Xiaomi sells a wide range of smart devices and accessories on its Mijia platform, made by a variety of manufacturers including XiaoYi, Yeelight, Philips etc.
The all-new MADV Mini Panoramic camera comes with a USB Type-C interface. This allows users to simply plug it into any smartphone having the supported port. Apparently, Andy Rubin led startup Essential had launched a similar 360-degree camera earlier this year. The camera, however, relied on the pogo pins present on the back of the Essential Phone for the connectivity purpose, thereby hindering compatibility for other smartphones.
The MADV Mini Panoramic camera comes in a compact form factor. The device is no larger than a standard size male wristwatch dial and weighs up at just 23.5g. Internally, it sports two 13MP sensors placed directly opposite to each other. The sensors are backed by a dual 210-degree wide-angle fisheye lens with a f/1.8 aperture.
MADV Mini Panoramic Camera Features
The Xiaomi backed camera is capable of shooting full HD videos at 30fps. Additionally, it comes with support for panoramic EIS and a ton of shooting modes. These include the asteroids, crystal ball, fisheye among other. The camera also comes with a MADV Mini app that let users view and edit panoramic photos and videos. Moreover, there’s also a one-click option for sharing these images and videos on various social media platforms like Weibo, WeChat, Facebook, Snapchat, and Twitter.
