Lately, LG has been mostly focussing on its premium and the mid-range lineup. The company has not exactly been active when it comes to budget smartphones, i.e until now. LG has announced its latest entry-level smartphone. Priced at $99 the LG Tribute Dynasty will be available via Sprint and Boost mobile in the U.S.
The LG Tribute Dynasty comes equipped with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, the device offers 16GB of internal memory. Designwise the LG Tribute Dynasty seems well appointed for a budget phone. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back and the device features a polycarbonate body.
The LG Tribute Dynasty runs on Android 7.1 Nougat and is backed by a 2,500mAh battery. Camera options on the device include an 8-Megapixel rear camera with a LED flash and a 5-Megapixel selfie camera. On the connectivity front, the LG Tribute Dynasty offers 4G LTE along with Bluetooth and WiFi.
As mentioned earlier it seems like LG is trying its luck with entry-level phones yet again. Specification wise the LG Dynasty Tribute seems to be well endowed for the $100 price tag. That being said, I hope that LG comes out with an attractive entry-level lineup and offers it at different price spectrums.
