Reliance Jio has yet again rolled out upgrades across all of its plans, this time on the occasion of the forthcoming Republic Day. The new tariffs revamp every package with 50% more mobile data at the same cost as before. The refreshed prices will be available from this month’s 26th and like always, you need to be a Prime member for availing any of these.
The most popular Rs 399 now offers a daily of 1.5GB 4G data, up from 1GB for a time span of 84 days. There’s also a Rs 398 plan that comes with a FUP of 2GB and a validity of 70 days. If you’d like a daily limit of 2GB for three months (84 days), you can opt for the Rs 448 or Rs 449 for 1.5GB cap and 91 days validity. The base pack now offers 2GB of 4G data for a month at a price of Rs 98. Enrolling in any of these plans will also let you access Reliance Jio’s entertainment suite of apps like JioCinema, JioTV for entirely free of cost.
Reliance Jio’s eccentric tariff upgrades are a result of the competition finally stepping up. After losing a hefty chunk of their market shares, telecom leaders such as Airtel, Vodafone have introduced similar plans in the last few months. As always, however, Jio seems to have for now managed to undercut them with its aggressive offers. It’s been only two weeks since Jio introduced new packages under the Happy New Year offer.
