If Xiaomi’s new Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro were not tempting enough to be your next smartphone, Reliance Jio has a surprise for you. The telecom operator has partnered with Xiaomi for offering ₹2,200 instant cashback for Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro customers on the first recharge of either ₹198 or ₹299. The cashback will be distributed in the form of 44 vouchers, each worth Rs 50 which is quite absurd, yes.
In addition to that, buyers will receive double 4G data across all Jio plans priced on and above Rs 198. Unlike the cashback offer, this one can be applied on three recharges rather than just the first one. Therefore, for instance, if you pay for the Rs 349 plan, you’ll be eligible for 210GB of data instead of 105GB for the same validity period.
For the uninitiated, the Redmi Note 5 comes equipped with a 5.99-inch FHD+ display that offers a pixel density of 403ppi. Xiaomi has retained the onscreen buttons and the display offers a maximum brightness of 450-nit. The company claims to have achieved a 12.5% more display area by using a rounded display that matches the corners of the device. The Redmi Note 5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and is paired with a 3GB/4GB RAM. Buyers can choose between 32GB and 64GB memory variant. Camera options on the Redmi Note 5 include a 12-Megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 and a 5-Megapixel front facing/selfie camera with LED flash, Beautify 3.0 and FHD video recording at 30fps.
