Earlier on the Huawei was expected to unveil the all-new P20 flagships at the upcoming MWC, however, the recent rumors have been contradictory. Now it is alleged that Huawei will be launching the P20, P20 Lite and the P20 Plus at an exclusive event in Paris, a month after MWC. Newly surfaced renders give us a glimpse of what to expect from the new Huawei flagships along with the design.
The renders have been published by Onleaks along with Tigermobiles. Most importantly the renders point at a triple-rear camera unit on the Huawei P20 and the Huawei P20 Plus while the P20 Lite is likely to come with a dual camera setup. As far as display sizes are concerned, the Huawei P20 is likely to feature a 5.7-inch display while the Plus variant will get a much bigger 6-inch display. All the three phones are expected to feature a dual-front/selfie camera unit.
The fingerprint sensor on the Huawei P20 is embedded within the home button and the phone actually looks glossy and lacklustre in the renders. Huawei is also likely to ditch the 3.5mm audio jack on all the three phones and will rely on USB Type-C instead. Yet another report claims that the Huawei P20 will get a 3320mAh battery while the P20 Plus will get a larger 4000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the P20 Plus is expected to borrow the Always On Display feature from the Mate 10 Pro.
As per the XDA Report, the P20 flagship is also expected to come with Point Cloud Depth Camera which works similar to the Apple’s Anemoji and Face ID features. On the software front, the Huawei P20 is expected to run Android 8.1 Oreo along with an EMUI 8.1 overlay. Both the P20 and the P20 Plus is rumored to be powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. On a related note, one should keep in mind that renders are usually reconstructed using the technical drawings and in all likelihood, the final product may look different.
