Apple, it is again, darlings, always and forever doing things that puzzle consumers and drive the competition insane. Predictable those sweethearts are not, no matter what you accuse them of – and the latest rumours about their next move already has poor old me wondering whether to laugh or cry. Rumour it is, dearies, but the sources are very interesting because they come from deep within the industry and they claim to always have got most of their predictions right – they were telling me about the notch well before the iPhone X was even rumoured, you know (they know rumours about rumours, that good!).
I must, however, confess that this time what they have told me has really surprised me, especially when you consider what has been happening in the market in recent times. Leave aside the fact whether you like the notch or not, the fact is that you cannot ignore it at all – heavens, even Android has now accommodated that cut in the display in its code, or so the geeks in the team tell me (how much can an old woman who gets confused between a phone and a TV remote know, darlings?) – or can you?
For, if my sources are to be believed (and they are quite believable, darlings), Apple is now going to do away with that very feature – yes, you read it first here: the notch is going to become history and very soon at that. Of course, you might wonder why Apple is doing this, after putting in all that advertising and effort into highlighting the notch and what it adds to the phone experience? One BIG reason: to simply throw the competition off the track totally and make them focus on the wrong part of the picture. Lovelies, did you not notice that even though Apple launched the X, it did not discontinue the older models?
And that is because Apple actually was throwing what people like to call a dummy to the competition, sweeties. Perhaps everyone thought that Apple was actually trying to come out with a whole new model of design and security, but my sources tell me that the notch will be limited only to the X and will not reappear. Really, sweeties, the whole purpose of the notch on the X was to make the opposition spend hundreds of millions just on redesigning their phones and UIs (which is why the company is not too bothered about reports of lower than expected sales!). In that we can safely they have succeeded, we can say. Like it or not, so many high profile Android flagship seem to have notches now, darlings.
Feel this is a bit too far-fetched? Oh, I can totally understand sweethearts, but then this is Apple we are talking about, aren’t we? Only the totally unexpected is expected here. Leave me a note of thanks when you see them lay the notch to rest, and you will shortly, believe me darlings – it’s all about the date!
