OnePlus is not exactly a stranger when it comes to launching limited edition smartphones. Last year, they had launched the OnePlus 5T Star Wars edition for the Indian market and now the brand has partnered with Marvel to dish out an Avengers-themed edition of the upcoming OnePlus 6.
“OnePlus’ association with Marvel Studios is a manifestation of the enduring love and support they have garnered from its respective community over the years with a purpose to go beyond the ordinary and achieve groundbreaking innovations in mobile technology only to create the best user experiences.”- OnePlus
That being said, we need to wait for the company to launch the OnePlus 6 to see the Avenger themed phones in flesh. The Avenger themed phone is likely to be exclusive to the Indian market. The OnePlus is expected to come with an iPhone X styled notch display and is likely to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. OnePlus is also rumored to offer a compatibility mode that will help users black out the notch area, a feature that is already being offered by Essential PH1.
Earlier today, OnePlus teased the Avengers association on Weibo. Going by that, this special edition OnePlus 6 will possibly be released only in China and India like they did with the Star Wars themed OnePlus 5T last year. OnePlus 6 will arrive with storage options ranging up to 256GB and yes, they will retain the 3.5mm audio jack as well. A recent teaser has hinted at an additional camera control feature for the alert slider. As far as design is concerned the OnePlus 6 will have antenna lines that run on the side of the device. The device is speculated to come with a 6.28-inch FHD+ display with 6GB and 8GB of RAM options. Additionally, the Oxygen OS will also go under the knife and the new version is expected to be much faster while retaining the focus on quintessential.
