Vivo recently launched the Vivo V9 globally. The highlights of the device include a 6.3-inch FHD+ screen and 24-Megapixel front camera. Thanks to all the bells and whistles the Vivo V9 ended up being priced at Rs 22,999 and this made is relatively expensive as compared to its predecessor. Vivo has now set things right by introducing Vivo V9 Youth, a slightly watered down version of the Vivo V9.
Needless to say, the Vivo V9 Youth comes with a reduced price tag or Rs 18,990 making it a whole lot less expensive than the Vivo V9. That being said, the Youth variant does cut corners in some areas including the 16-Megapixel front camera and just 32GB of internal storage. Yes, the Vivo V9 Youth settles for a 16-Megapixel front camera as opposed to the 24-Megapixel one on the Vivo V9. Thankfully the camera unit still retains the face unlock feature while the fingerprint sensor sits at the back.
The Vivo V9 Youth also employs a lower specced Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 as opposed to the 626 on the Vivo V9. In order to bring down the price further, the company has used a 16MP+2MP dual primary camera as opposed to the 16MP+5MP on the Vivo V9. The Vivo V9 Youth borrows the 6.3-inch FHD+ display with the 19:9 aspect ratio from the Vivo V9. The device runs on Android 8.1 alongside Funtouch OS 4.0. The Vivo V9 Youth will be available from 24th of April in Pearl Black and Champagne Gold colors across multiple retail channels.
