Soon after making some big announcements at its annual product launch event in Shenzhen, Xiaomi has silently debuted a new Bluetooth wireless mouse on its Mijia crowdfunding platform. Just like all other products currently available on the Mijia platform, the Xiaomi Wireless Mouse Youth Edition is built by a third party manufacturer. It’s the successor to the original Mi Wireless mouse that was launched last year.
Xiaomi Mi Wireless Mouse Youth Edition Features
The new Youth edition of the Mi Wireless mouse comes in two color hues, white and black. The body of the mouse is made up of an ABS material. The mouse carries forward a number of design elements from its costlier sibling, the original Xiaomi Wireless mouse. The all-new mouse comes with a sloping design, that has been built keeping in mind the shape of the palm. Furthermore, the side of the mouse features a textured finish for enhanced grip during operation. There’s also a movable ring in between the two clicky buttons on the front that helps in scrolling through pages.
The Xiaomi Wireless Mouse Youth comes with a 2.4GHz Bluetooth connectivity. This results in a coverage area of up to 10 meters. It features a phase photoelectric sensor that offers up to 1,200 dpi precision pointing. The mouse also weights up to 100 grams and has a dimension of 157 x 102 x 36mm. Xiaomi claims that the buttons of the mouse will remain functional for over 3 million clicks.
The latest mouse from Xiaomi is priced at 49 Yuan (Rs 510/$7.6 approx.) and will be available via JD.com and Mijia starting today. From what it seems, the mouse will be exclusive to China, as Xiaomi doesn’t seem to have any plans to launch it internationally. The all-new Youth version of the mouse is exactly 20 Yuan (Rs 210/$3 approx.) cheaper than the basic Mi Mouse, which was launched way back in 2016.
