Targus has launched a Universal Type-C docking station in India. The new product will allow users to connect their monitor or PC to keyboard, mouse and other host computers. The docking station is compatible with all the popular operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Chrome OS.
The Targus Universal Type-C Docking station comes in handy when you want to connect multiple USB Type-C peripherals to your laptop or desktop. Additionally, users will also be able to connect to a conference room projector or a monitor. Targus has also addressed the mess caused by dangling cables with a pro cable management system. The Docking system comes fitted with a USB-C DisplayPort and offers Alt-Mode host connections that are compatible with Thunderbolt 3. Connectivity options on the dock include 2x USB-A ports, 1x Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm audio jack and a power delivery system that supports up to 60W.
The Targus Universal Type-C docking station is designed with travelers in mind. The integrated USB power cable folds into the dock. Presentations can be accessed on the larger screen with the help of VGA, Mini DisplayPort and also HDMI ports that can be directly connected with the projectors. A dock like this is pretty useful especially since products like the MacBook Pro and other ultrabooks that are ditching VGA ports, HDMI and Ethernet ports.
The Ethernet Port supports Gigabit speeds and will thus help reduce your reliance on WiFi and get better internet speeds with reduced latency. The USB 3.0 ports can be used to plug in external hard drives, mice, card readers and other storage devices. The Targus Universal Type-C docking station is available in all the leading retailers across India and is priced at Rs 9,999.
