If you are new to Twitter or new to Blogging, this small tip will help you in setting up a Twitter counter on your blog.
Why Twitter Counter?
As I said before, Twitter is a great option to promote your blog posts, especially since people “choose” to follow you and your followers can “retweet” about your blog posts. So, it surely helps if you have a good number of people as your followers. And one of the best ways to increase your follower count is by putting up a Twitter Counter on your blog, once you cross a decent number.
In addition, it will try to predict your follower count in future base on the average calculated. It also has nice Flash showing the number your follower in the past history and future prediction in a nice linear graph.
To add TwitterCounter to your website, follow the steps below:
- Go to TwitterCounter website and type your Twitter username in the textbox and click on “Show”
- Then click “Get more followers: Add TwitterCounter to your site, blog or social network” at the top of next page.
- Go to your Widget section page in your WordPress.
- Add a new “Text” widget to your sidebar. If you like, you can use existing “Text” widget in your sidebar and append the code to it.
