You might be already knowing that Microsoft Office 2010 can be downloaded for free but it comes with a 30-day trial. The idea behind this is to give a chance for the users to test drive the software for a month and then it needs to be purchased once then trial period ends. But what if you want to extend the trial period? Rearming is the answer!
Rearming is a simple method to extend the trial of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office up to one month. Previously we had used the same method to extend and use Windows 7 free for 4 months. Now we will see how to rearm Microsoft office 2010 so that we can extend the trial period by upto 6 months!
How to use Office 2010 free for 6 months without activation?
- Locate this folder in your
C:\%Program Files%\ Common Files\microsoft shared\ OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\
- Open OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform and click the tool named OSPPREARM
- Alternatively, you can use the command prompt. Click Start, in the Search field, type cmd and do not press Enter. Amongst the results, you will see cmd.exe
- Right click on the icon and click the Run as Administrator option. You should see the DOS black window.
- Now type:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\OfficeSoftwareProtectionPlatform\OSPPREARM.EXE
This will rearm and activate your Office 2010 for other 30 days. You can repeat this technique 5 more times to extend your trial period to almost 6 months.
