We’re here to scout the Play Store for some of the most interesting new apps and games that you could download on your Android smartphones and tablets. Last week, we had such titles as Asphalt Overdrive, Hangouts Dialer, Comedy Central, Centrallo and much more. So now, let’s see what’s on for this week!
With the new TiVo app for Android, it’s now possible to stream live TV and recordings over WiFi or your cellular network for on-the-go viewing. You can browse the channel guide without interrupting the show you’re watching and view shows up to 14 days in advance. It’s also possible to schedule TV show/movie recordings and ongoing recordings. Users of this app can browse recorded shows list and play a show from the app and search across TV, Netflix, & Amazon Instant Video. This is definitely a must-have for Android owners who are TiVo customers.
Mage Gauntlet ($1.99)
Mage Gauntlet comes to Android users as a classic-style action-RPG, which has been inspired primarily by 90’s action RPGs for the Super Nintendo, such as Legend of Zelda: LTTP and Secret of Mana. Inside the game, you must fight and explore your way through a humorous storyline about eccentric wizards, powerful artifacts, and dangerous monsters. The game comes with 84 levels (half normal, half in Master Mode), 86 achievements, 110 hats, a variety of loot that adapt your character to different tactics, 19 pets, quick leveling and stat system and Dash and Charge moves.
Adobe Creative Cloud (Free)
Released a few days ago, the preview to Adobe’s Creative Cloud utility connects your mobile devices to the Creative Cloud and unlocks new tools. By using the app, you can browse and preview your PSD, AI and other design files stored in the cloud. There’s also a free Creative Cloud membership which includes 2GB of cloud storage and trial access to every Adobe creative tool. You should also take into account that the preview version doesn’t support all the features of Creative Cloud.
Age of Civilizations ($1.99)
Judging by the name, you’d think that Age of Civilizations belongs to a big publishing house. However, it will surprise you to know that it’s the creation of a single developer. As the name suggests it, Age of Civilizations is a turn-based strategy game in which your object is to dominate the world. The game comes with many interesting features and it’s worth checking out by fans of the turn-based genre.
SureMote is a universal remote control app that lets you control your TV and all other appliances in a very simple way. The app makes use of the built-in Infrared (IR) blaster in Samsung Galaxy, LG G3, and HTC One smartphones, so it will work only with them at the moment.
