For the past few days, we’ve seen important apps being launched on the Play Store, and you’ll find some of them below. So, let’s waste no more time and start the list, make sure you have your smartphone and tablet nearby, as there are plenty of must-have titles this time.
Facebook Groups (Free)
The Groups feature has been available inside Facebook for a good while, but not it’s being totally reworked into the standalone Facebook Groups app for mobile devices. Users can create a group for anything they desire and then use it to share information, post photos and links, and stay in touch with other members. You can also discover and join new groups that suite your interests. The app is impeccably designed and is definitely worth checking out.
Milk Video (Free)
Samsung has launched its own video streaming service, which is weirdly called Milk Video. The app allows users to search for some of the most popular videos currently trending. They can also follows such video channels as Vice, BuzzFeed, FunnyOrDie, VEVO:POP, Vogue, RedBull, Fandango, Tastemade and others. The drawback is that Milk Video is available in the US only and exclusive to the following devices for now – Galaxy S III/III mini/4/4 mini/5; Galaxy Note II/3/4 and Galaxy Mega.
Z Launcher Beta (Free)
When Nokia launched its first Android tablet last week , the N1, it also launched a new Android launcher app, called Z Launcher. Described by many as ‘the smartest Android launcher around’, which is ‘wonderfully simple and shockingly innovative’, Nokia’s Z Launcher learns how you use your phone and promotes your favorite apps so you can get to them faster. You can scribble various letters on the screen to quickly launch apps, contacts, or websites. If you’ve used launchers before on your Android device, then I’m telling you that you’ll definitely love this one.
The Banner Saga ($9.99)
The Banner Saga from Versus Evil is one of the best tactical RPG available on the Play Store, having received until now a bunch of awards. The game takes place in a 2D fantasy realm inspired by Norse mythology where the choices that you make drive your own narrative. There are over 25 playable characters each with unique personalities and the game comes with strategic combat with consequences. The game comes with impressive visual arts and audio, besides the captivating story, so it’s worth a try for lovers of the genre.
BBM Meetings (Free)
The new BBM Meetings app for Android is described as a fresh new take on mobile collaboration that allows on-the-go professionals to be more productive. Among the main features of the app are – HD video and voice conferencing for up to 25 participants, BlackBerry T-support included with a host subscription, the ability to easily start or schedule a video and audio conference from your mobile device. If you have to participate in a lot of conferences while you’re on the go, then BBM Meetings is a must-have even if you don’t have a BlackBerry device.
The Hunt (Free)
If you care about your clothing style and like to diversify your wardrobe as much as possible, then you need to check out The Hunt. Hugely popular on iOS, the app has now arrived on the Play Store to help you track down hard-to-find fashion. So, say you are walking down the street and you see these nice oversized sweaters. Just grab your phone, open the app and post a pic of that item. A community of over 3 million savvy shoppers will help you find it, style it, or buy it for less. You can also see what’s on trend right now and browser for deals on clothing.
Darkness Reborn (Free)
Darkness Reborn is described as one of the most critically acclaimed MMORPG of developer Gameviil. The game follows the story of a knight cursed by a dragon’s evil that becomes a warrior and needs to conquer the Rift Bosses. You can defeat other players in live 3 v 3 combat and climb the ranks, team up with friends, customize your hero with thousands of items and challenge yourself with hundreds of achievements. Get it on your smartphone or tablet to enjoy some nice action from this multiplayer online role-playing game.
Billboard is an American music magazine most known for its internationally recognized record charts, the Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard 200. You’d find that such a popular outlet definitely has an Android app, but it’s not quite like that. But thank God for third-party developers. Tower defense games are hugely popular on mobile device, and the Kingdom Rush Origins prequel is definitely one of them.
