When it comes to Black Friday deals, Apple likes to be pretty conservative and doesn’t come up with big discounts. So, usually, customers find better iPhone and iPad deals at traditional retail stores, such as Best Buy, Walmart and others. This year it’s just the same, as Apple has decided to gift a Product (RED) gift card to shoppers that purchase some of Apple’s most popular products this upcoming Friday.
Apple doesn’t even call its deals as part of Black Friday but has opted for the (RED) Special Shopping Day Promotion moniker. Buyers who will receive a (RED) iTunes Gift Card will be able to use it at the U.S. iTunes Store, Mac App Store, App Store, and iBooks Store. Here is the list of amounts you will receive on the purchases of the following products:
- $50 iTunes gift card – iPhone 6 Plus/iPhone 6/iPhone 5s/iPhone 5c
- $50 iTunes gift card – iPad mini 3/iPad mini 2/iPad mini/iPad Air 2/iPad Air
- $100 iTunes gift card – MacBook Pro/MacBook Air/iMac with Retina 5K display/MacBook Pro with Retina display
- $25 iTunes gift card – iPod touch/iPod nano/Apple TV/Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, speakers
For those who are not aware, Product Red, is a licensed brand that seeks to engage the private sector in raising awareness and funds to help eliminate HIV/AIDS in Africa. Some of the most notorious partner companies, besides Apple, include Nike, American Express (UK), The Coca-Cola Company, Starbucks, Converse, Head, Gap, Armani, Hallmark (US) and others.
The Phone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus purchases are limited to two (RED) iTunes Gift Cards per household and iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 purchases are limited to two (RED) iTunes Gift Cards. Apple also said that it will make a donation to The Global Fund with each purchase.
