It seems that phone makers haven’t solved yet the problem with the current battery technology, and the best they can come up with is for ways to increase the capacity inside handsets. Of course, there are also various other software tweaks which can be employed, but ultimately, the harsh truth is that we’re still lacking a serious breakthrough in battery life.
And as we’re putting more and more pressure on your mobile devices, such as playing games, watching online videos, taking pictures and whatnot, the battery is the one which has to take all the damage. Aware of this problem, there are many consumers who are looking to buy a smartphone with a good battery life. So if you’re in that category, as well, you’ll probably be interested, if not at least intrigued by the new Innos D6000 Android smartphone.
Of course, the name doesn’t ring a bell, and that’s because we’re speaking of a little-known Chinese manufacturer. But you will probably be surprised to hear that this new smartphone features a huge 6,000mAh battery (hence the name of the device, I guess), and it could very well be the biggest battery ever seen on a smartphone. To achieve this big capacity, the company uses a unique ‘double cell structure technology’ which comprises of two batteries.
One of them is internal featuring a 2480mAh capacity and another is external and replaceable, with a 3520mAh capacity. Furthermore, the user can easily swap the external battery without having to power down his phone. According to Innos says this will deliver power that lasts between three to five days per charge depending on use.
The smartphone also makes use of a special DuoCharge technology which uses the built-in chip to allow parallel charging of two batteries. This technology allegedly reduces the heat while charging and prolongs battery life, as well.
As for the rest of its specs, the smartphone features a 5.2-inch 1080p display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, a Snapdragon 615 1.8GHz octa-core processor, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with a 5-megapixel front one, 3 GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and Android 5.0 Lollipop. It also gets a dual-SIM dual standby mode and comes with the USB 3.1 Type-C connection port, as well.
The Innos D6000 was put on sale on company’s official website, but it will officially hit the shelves in early June, being available for 1799 Yuan, which is around $290. Furthermore, it seems that Innos said that there will be a a Mediatek version, as well, which will have just 2GB of RAM but will retail for only $161. Chinese consumers are lucky to be able to buy such a product and we can only hope that it will be coming to international markets, as well.
