As OnePlus prepares for the upcoming OnePlus 2 launch, its estranged partner, Cyanogen is working on a new build for the OnePlus One which apparently will fix the Touchscreen and Bluetooth issues haunting many existing owner.
The CyanogenOS 12 is based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and the new build isn’t bumping up that to 5.1. Version YNG1TAS2I3 was just posted to Cyanogen’s website and claims to fix touchscreen sensitivity issues, bluetooth connection problems and issues sending the MMS texts.
This update provides fixes for the following items:
* Touchscreen sensitivity
* Bluetooth connectivity with several in-car systems
* MMS sending on several carriers
The file linked above is a full ROM and not the delta OTA update, so you would be required to manually flash the ROM in recovery just like a standard build. OTA is expected to come in next few days though, if you’re ready to wait. The impending fix for Touchscreen has been a long wait for OnePlus One users, something which has marred the otherwise great experience with the smartphone.
This fix was supposed to arrive much earlier, but was withheld after users started reporting heavy battery drain with the nightly builds. The Cyanogen Inc is still working on the Cyanogen OS 12.1 based on Android 5.1.1.
