MIUI fans have been waiting for the MIUI 8 Global Beta release with bated breath after the company launched the Chinese developer ROM some time ago. Xiaomi has finally released the MIUI 8 Global Developer ROM and is available on MIUI forum for download. However, the MIUI 8 Stable ROM is expected to be released on Aug 16th (for all devices) and if you do mind a few bugs here and there, we would suggest you to skip the Public beta and wait for the stable version.

The MIUI 8 Beta ROM v6.7.5 will be available for Redmi Note (3G and 4G), Redmi 2, Redmi Note Prime and the recently launched Mi Max to start with. Furthermore, Xiaomi has also assured that it will be soon launching the global beta ROM for Mi 2s, Mi 3, Mi 4, Redmi 1s, Mi 5, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 2 and Redmi Note 3. It is good to see that Xiaomi is on track and released the ROM as per the schedule. MIUI is known for its utilitarian front and even this time around the ROM has brought into play some uber cool and useful features.

MIUI 8 Beta ROM is available for download here and you can either flash it on your Xiaomi device or update the same with OTA if you have the developer ROM running (Note, the phone needs to be unlocked before flashing). The MIUI 8 comes with a slew of useful features including a dual app setup that lets you register apps using both the SIM cards. For instance, you can use WhatsApp on both your SIM cards on the same device. The gallery has been redesigned, special video effects included, scrolling screenshots, improvised calculator with conversion options and a separate space for office and personal stuff.
