However, this time around it’s not one, not two but a bucketload of 45 patents have been granted to the Cupertino company. The list of the patent includes the one regarding wireless charger for Apple Watch along with two other inventions that have played.a crucial role in Apple’s history. Apple’s wireless charger had been the talk of the town, Apple had filed for the patent in 2015 and the same has been granted today by the USPTO. The next major patent is the one related to user interface method. The method we are talking about details activating one or more GUI elements based on the UI mode and the detected touch. The patent further covers detecting a group of media items that are displayed. Also covered by the patent is the activation of virtual scroll wheel which will provide a virtual scroll in a particular area of the touch screen.
Despite the knob being a virtual one, the patent explains how the user’s fingers can actually wrap around the same and use it like an actual physical dial. Furthermore, the know will also give feedback to the users via the audio or vibration. The use case for the dial can be extended to gameplay, apps, music playing and also video editing tools. In a nutshell, this patent covers electronic devices that use one or more fingers to move on-screen objects without the need of a cursor.
Additionally, Apple has also been granted the patent for its Watch Design and the EarPod packaging.
