Xiaomi has inaugurated its 500th Service centre in India and this is a milestone considering the fact that the company set its shops in India only three years ago. Also, Xiaomi has now become the number one online smartphone brand with a total online market share of 40.6-percent. The company has been ramping up its service networks and currently has more than 4000 service executives handling the customer care.
As per a recent report from IMRB, Xiaomi India has been awarded for providing the ‘best in class’ service delivery in India and is currently rated amongst the top five smartphones in India when it comes to terms of service delivery. The repair rates for Xiaomi is pegged at 95 percent within a working day.
Thankfully the company is also opening up service centres in tier 3 and tier 4 cities which I always believed lacked adequate customer support. In fact, initially, not many Tier 2 cities in many states including Karnataka had Xiaomi Service centres but things have changed in the recent past. Furthermore, in order to facilitate the after sales support, Xiaomi has set up two call centres, three repair factories and 100 engineers trained to repair the PCBA units. 500 is another milestone for us in our India journey which is a proof point of our dedication towards after sales experience. Today, we have a strong service infrastructure and we want to be known as the benchmark for service delivery in India. While sales is an important element for most brand after sales is an extremely crucial element for us at Xiaomi and we will continue to work harder to make Xiaomi an even more consumer-centric company for our Mi Fans. In fact, we are kicking this week off as a Service Quality week in India today where we will celebrate our service experience for our Mi Fans across India -Manu Kumar Jain, VP, MD Xiaomi India
Xiaomi is also hearing out to its users via different social forums including Facebook and one can also set up a live chat with the executive. Also available is the Xiaomi’s pick and drop facilities that go hand in hand with the annual care package. Xiaomi seems to be bullish in the Indian context since they recently inaugurated the Mi Home at Bengaluru and also announced that they have managed to sell a staggering 1-Million Redmi 4 in 30-days.
